Role Summary

The Senior Digital Assortment Manager’s key objective is to contribute to CommerceHub’s revenue performance by enabling the assortment expansion strategies of North America’s largest online retailers.  This role engages with merchants/buyers to analyze assortment opportunities, establish engagement objectives, and deliver value through making introductions to existing or new suppliers on the CommerceHub network.  Cultivating strong relationships with retail merchant partners is essential to insure execution of strategies that increase sales.

 

Specific Duties

The Senior Digital Assortment Manager is responsible to:

  • Drive revenue growth for CommerceHub and its retail & wholesale clients by developing, creating and executing assortment expansion growth plans for large online retailers
  • Act as a digital merchandising authority who fosters strong relationships with retail partners and CommerceHub product, sales and client executives
  • Collaborate regularly with retailer buyers and merchandisers to formulate seasonal merchandising strategies and supplier recommendations that optimize assortments in keeping with their strategic direction
  • Analyze CommerceHub performance and product trends to identify category and brand opportunities; deliver recommendations for assortment expansion
  • Utilize available analytics to derive data-driven insights and create actionable plans that optimize assortments, support customer demand and fuel measurable results
  • Partner with Product and Business Intelligence teams as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the development of tools that utilize predictive analytics to derive data-driven insights
  • Partner with CommerceHub’s Sales, Client Partnership/Solutions & Marketing teams on merchandising strategies and presentations
  • Monitor clients’ online assortments and competitively shop other retail channels

 

Requirements

  • BS or BA degree required
  • 5+ years’ experience in Merchandising, Wholesale or Retail Buying & Planning
  • Excellent understanding of online retail, wholesale/drop ship selling
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to understand the business case, analyze large volumes of data and derive insights
  • Demonstrated record of developing collaborative relationships both internally and with retail merchant teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Willingness to travel to clients upon request
