Position Duties

Responsible for the complete lifecycle of CommerceHub products from inception to operation including incident management, service level definition, monitoring, alerting, metrics, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, performance and scalability improvements, deployment automation, compliance, asset management, and application security. Work with others in the organization and assist to develop and influence operational tooling, best practices, and standards that empower the engineering organization and ensure CommerceHub's effective and efficient operations.

Improve automation and operational efficiency; Design, implement, and maintain application monitoring, metrics, and alerting; Assess and enhance reliability, performance, availability, durability, throughput; Frequently collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and architects; Responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis; Manage incidents and problem response; Prepare demand forecasting and scalability planning; and Release engineering.        



Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 12 months of experience as a Software Engineer to include: Develop and maintain applications and operational tooling using Java, Dropwizard, Graphite, Pagerduty, and SumoLogic; Support hybrid applications in on-premises data center and AWS cloud environments.
