She did it again! CommerceHub’s Director of Paid Search Marketing, Elizabeth Marsten added another feather to an already colorful cap with her latest win. Elizabeth was declared the winner of Search Marketing Madness 2016, beating an ultra-competitive field of 63 contestants that included the best PPC Managers in the United States, top search industry blogs and popularly used search marketing software.

Each year as March rolls up on our calendars, basketball fans around the country are hooked on March Madness.
Popular digital marketing blog PPC Hero gives March Madness a twist for search marketing professionals with its Search Marketing Madness Tournament. In its fifth year now, this annual tournament pits search marketing managers across the country against top search marketing blogs and popular search marketing software in a battle to the finish. Winners are chosen through multiple voting rounds where users first narrow down the field within each category. Subsequent rounds of voting pit contestants across categories until the last two contestants left standing face-off against each other.
This year’s tournament had 63 participants across 3 categories:
- PPC Manager (32 contestants)
- PPC Blog (16)
- PPC Software (16)
The Final Face-Off
PPC Hero’s readers voted in six closely contest rounds of voting in this year’s tournament. In the final, nail-biting round, CommerceHub’s Elizabeth Marsten met the search industry’s torch bearer blog – Search Engine Land in a dash to the finish line. This win adds to Elizabeth’s already impressive roster of past wins, including being voted as one of the Top 10 Most Influential PPC Experts last year.
