COMMERCEHUB ENABLES STAPLES TO INTEGRATE & MANAGE SUPPLY CHAIN
CommerceHub to handle supplier integration and fulfillment management
CLIFTON PARK, NY - October 1, 2002 - CommerceHub, a leading provider of supply chain integration and management solutions for multi-channel retailers, announced today that Staples Inc. (Nasdaq: SPLS) has selected the CommerceHub platform and CommerceHub's remote fulfillment management solution Drop-Ship Master, enabling Staples to efficiently integrate its drop-ship suppliers, reduce inventory costs, and enhance customer service.
Staples will integrate with CommerceHub, which will act as a universal connection platform, enabling Staples to quickly and easily integrate new suppliers, without the technical challenges typically associated with connecting to many different partners. Staples will also deploy CommerceHub's Drop-Ship Master(, providing the company with visibility into orders from point of sale through delivery, as well as exception- based notifications to support high-level customer service.
