Business Analyst

Role Summary:


The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and staff to directly support the selection, or development of internal business systems.  The Business Analyst will be engaged in re-engineering business processes across teams and be responsible for developing projects that change those processes.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing project requirements, planning, and working with multiple projects within challenging time frames
  • Thoroughly document all project requirements, issues, risks, and lessons learned
  • Communicate progress to project stakeholders in an efficient and effective manner
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, and contribute to systems implementation efforts
  • Contribute to key process improvement efforts across the organization

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Information Systems / Computer Science is preferred
  • Experience with SQL
  • Business analysis experience and/or courses required
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Willingness to work in a high performance team environment
  • Great customer service skills

Database Administrator


Summary:


As a key member of our database operations team the candidate will play a vital role in supporting our clustered, high volume 24x7 transaction processing Microsoft SQL Server environment.  Working alongside several experienced DBAs, the candidate is expected to help in troubleshooting and resolving production challenges.  The candidate will work in a Windows operating system environment with Java applications that connect to backend SQL Server databases.

Key responsibilities for this position include Data Modeling for OLTP and data warehouse, performance tuning and production support.  In addition, the successful candidate will also have the opportunities to work on data mining, ETL process enhancement and data warehouse design and implementation.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in computer science.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as MS-SQL DBA.
  • Extensive experience in SQL scripting such as stored procedures, triggers and views.
  • Experience in supporting a mission-critical production environment.
  • Experience in performance tuning and system monitoring toolsets.
  • Experience in data model design and implementation.
  • Demonstrated skills in working under multi-tasking environment.
  • Experiences in Business Intelligence design and implementation, such as Microsoft Integration Service, Reporting Service and Analysis Service, is desirable.

Product Management Business Analyst

Description:


The prime responsibility of the Business Analyst (BA) is to develop business requirements for new product initiatives, new client integrations with the existing installed base product, or customizations of existing customer implementations.  The BA will participate in requirements gathering from internal or external customers, analyze and fully explicate the business processes and functional requirements that are relevant to the problem domain, deepen the description of requirements in the context of current product capabilities and deployment, and produce deliverables suited for handoff to various technical stakeholders for implementation.

 The BA should be experienced in producing most of the following deliverables for both the as-is and to-be conditions of the processes and systems in the scope of work:

  • Narrative description of the business problem, goals, and high level requirements
  • Process flow descriptions/ diagrams, UML, sequence diagrams
  • Business rules
  • Business object models
  • Use cases
  • User roles
  • Analysis of process design, process commonalities, anomalies, boundary   conditions, and error conditions
  • State transition models
  • User interface descriptions – UI scenarios, storyboards, visual workflow diagrams, other mock up or prototyping techniques
  • Operational requirements
  • Support and service requirements

 In some cases the BA will be supporting the requirements development around changes to existing software products and services.  In other cases, the BA may be assisting in development of new product proposals and business cases.

 The BA will work closely with professional services consultants, account managers, the other members of the product management team, and directly with clients to gather and complete project requirements.  The BA will work closely with software development, operations, IT and other technical stakeholders to hand off requirements deliverables that will be used to develop technical designs and specifications that are implementable.

 The BA must be experienced in doing this work in the context of online software systems with a relational data base foundation, transaction processing services, and supporting operations and client services.
 
Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Minimal Requirements:

  • Business process analysis and design – describe, analyze, recommend improvements, and conceptualize supporting information systems.
  • Customer interaction – excellent communications skills in interviewing and presenting to internal and external customers
  • Financial models and analysis – experience in building, analyzing and making conclusions and recommendations based on financial cost and revenue models, return on investment models and other quantitative analytical tools.
  • Project management
  • B.S. degree in computer science, marketing or other relevant field
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience

  • MBA degree, particularly in information systems, finance, product marketing or general marketing

QA Engineer

Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and test requirements on a project by project basis
  • Continual Maintenance on Testing Environment Variables
  • Writing of test plans and testcases for development and execution using project requirements
  • Risk analysis and support for seamless product release
  • Troubleshooting problems with in the testing environment that may impact product stability
  • Contributing to software engineering process improvement efforts across the business

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent is highly desired
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

Experience:

  • Experience in Java/Groovy/Grails is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience working with SQL statements and programming
  • Working knowledge of XML or HTML
  • Industry best practices for requirements and testing
  • Experience working in a highly dynamic atmosphere, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work within challenging time frames

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Experience with Selenium or any other automated testing tool
  • Experience with XPATH and understanding of EDI
