In 2015, the combined company sourced and processed an estimated $11.6 billion dollars of GMV for retailer and brand customers. Today, CommerceHub is integrated with more than 200 enterprise retailers, all major North American marketplaces and online shopping channels, and more than 9,000 brands and distributors — enabling massive promotional reach and product supply. Founded in 1997 by Frank Poore and Richard Jones, CommerceHub today is headquartered in the heart of New York’s Tech Valley.
Frank is responsible for the company‘s overall vision, strategy and execution. After founding CommerceHub in 1997, Frank led the company from initial concept through its establishment as an industry leader, selling CommerceHub to Liberty Interactive in 2006. In 2013 Frank returned as CEO to transform CommerceHub from a data logistics company to a merchandising and fulfillment platform. In between, Frank pioneered the use of mobile technology in the music industry, launching successful apps for Kenny Chesney and major music festivals. Prior to CommerceHub, Frank developed one of the first corporate intranets for Nike’s World Finance Division. He served as a combat radioman in the U.S. Army, and earned an MBA from the University at Albany. Frank is an avid hockey fan.
Richard is responsible for engineering and product management, computing infrastructure and operations, supplier onboarding, and customer support. He has over 16 years of experience in delivering cloud-based supply chain and merchandising solutions to top North American retailers. He is the primary architect of the CommerceHub platform. Along with a BS in Mathematics and MS in Computer Science, Richard’s supply chain expertise is augmented by experience in automated theorem proving, video game AI, and Big Data analytics. Richard is also an avid latin dancer.
Mark is responsible for financial strategy and operations. Mark is dedicated to maximizing long-term shareholder value and ensuring a balanced portfolio of growth initiatives. Mark brings more than 30 years of experience to CommerceHub, including extensive operational and financial experiences with global publicly and privately held companies. Before CommerceHub, Mark was Chief Financial Officer of Sonus Networks, Inc. Prior to that role, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Siemens Enterprise Communications Limited; President and CEO at Telcordia Technologies, Inc.; Senior Vice President and CFO at Telecordia Technologies; Chief Financial Officer of Symbol Technologies Inc. and Chief Financial Officer of Agere Systems Inc. Mark earned his M.B.A from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dartmouth College. Mark grew up in Maine and is an avid skier.
John is responsible for the operation of all production systems and internal IT for CommerceHub. Prior to joining CommerceHub, John was the CIO and Head of Americas Operations at Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: TTWO) where he led the creation of high availability geo-redundant data centers, built on-line gaming infrastructure supporting millions of concurrent game players for Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne and NBA 2K titles, consolidated multiple global ERP systems, and transformed product distribution to an effective 3PL model. Before Take-Two, John served as CIO of Trans World Entertainment (Nasdaq: TWMC) and spent several years in leadership roles at GE. He earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master’s in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. John is a Six Sigma Black Belt, a Computerworld Premier 100 Honoree, and an avid theater-goer, especially when his daughter is performing.
Bill is responsible for the strategy, business management, and the go-to-market execution of all CommerceHub products and services. Previously, he was Chief Digital Marketing Officer of Sears Holdings Corporation and General Manager of Drugstore.com and VisionDirect.com. Additionally, he has over a decade of experience in e-commerce product management and software development at Silicon Valley startups and Amazon.com. Bill graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with an undergraduate degree in computer science. He also holds an MBA & MEM from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Bill is an avid fan of Cal Bear football and basketball.
Mike is responsible for accounting, external reporting, financial planning and analysis, internal audit, and tax. He has 10 years of experience in public-company financial leadership positions in the e-commerce and Medical Device industries, after starting his career in public accounting. He is a CPA in the State of New York and received his BS in Accounting from SUNY at Albany. Mike has two sons that keep him on the go.
Doug is responsible for providing legal direction and support for CommerceHub’s legal and business needs. Before joining CommerceHub, Doug served for ten years as in-house counsel to Infor, a multi-national software-as-a-service (SaaS) and on-premises enterprise software company with over 14,000 employees and operations in over 200 countries and territories. Prior to that, Doug was a transactional lawyer for six years at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo PC, a full-service Boston law firm where he represented companies and investors in corporate finance, M&A and securities transactions, and a wide array of general corporate matters. After graduating from Boston College Law School, Doug served as a law clerk to the Hon. Justice Neil Lynch at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Doug enjoys skiing and snowboarding, live music and has an unhealthy interest in Boston sports teams.
David is responsible for CommerceHub’s global sales, sales operations, and customer success. David is dedicated to delivering our promise to keep our customers and our company growing. He brings 30 years of experience to CommerceHub including operational leadership roles in supply chain, ecommerce, and omni-channel. Prior to joining our Executive team, David led our Client Partnership team as SVP, and previous roles included senior executive sales positions with IBM, Sterling Commerce, and Computer Sciences Corporation. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University. Beyond his focus on our growth, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, and is an avid, life-long baseball fan.
Eric is responsible for CommerceHub marketing strategy and programs, leading the company in achieving its industry engagement, product adoption, market share and revenue goals. Eric joined CommerceHub through the 2015 acquisition of ecommerce marketing company Mercent which he founded and led for ten years as CEO. In the span of his career, Best has founded five successful technology product and service companies including MindCorps, a profitable, high-growth software consultancy that served the Internet and Fortune 500 markets before its acquisition by Amazon.com. Joining Amazon.com, Best managed business development for the Amazon.com Commerce Network working on the deal teams for Amazon’s first major brick-and-mortar partnerships. Eric is a busy dad, an avid Nordic skier, and fan of esoteric electronic music.
